TWIN CITIES LIVE – FAMILY REUNION IN BRANSON CONTEST

OFFICIAL RULES

 1.         HOW TO ENTER:  NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.  In order to enter, from 3:00 p.m. on Monday, April 1, 2013, through 11:59:59 p.m. on Friday, April 19, 2013, go to the www.twincitieslive.com website, click on the "Family Reunion in Branson” icon and complete the entry form (name, address, phone number, email), which includes stating in 500 words or less what makes your family unique and why you would like a family vacation in Branson, Missouri, and a photograph of your family.  KSTP-TV is not responsible for problems accessing the website or completing the entry, technical or atmospheric conditions that disrupt the completion of the entry, or any other problems which might or might not result from this contest.  Any person submitting more than one entry, an entry containing more than 500 words or an entry without a photograph attached may be disqualified at Sponsor’s sole discretion.

2.         HOW TO PLAY/HOW THE WINNER IS CHOSEN:  Enter as explained in Paragraph 1 above.  From all eligible entries submitted, a panel of judges comprised of staff members from Twin Cities Live, in their sole discretion, will determine the winner based on, but not limited to, the following judging criteria:  what makes their family unique (49%) and the explanation of why you would like a family vacation in Branson, Missouri (51%).  The contestant with the highest score using the preceding judging criteria will be deemed the winner. The winner will be contacted via email and telephone.  In the event of a tie, the contestant with the highest score in the explanation of why you would like a family vacation in Branson, Missouri, category will be deemed the winner from among all tying contestants. 

3.         CLAIMING YOUR PRIZE:  The winner must claim his/her prize in person at the KSTP-TV Studios, 3415 University Avenue, St. Paul, Minnesota 55114, during normal business hours (Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) within ten (10) days of the day he/she is notified that he/she is the winner.  Failure to comply with this deadline shall be deemed to be the winner’s forfeiture of his or her right to claim a prize.  The winner must present identification acceptable to KSTP-TV (e.g., state drivers license; state issued identification card; valid passport with address verification; or birth certificate with social security card and photo identification and address verification).  If a winner cannot prove he or she is qualified to accept the prize, the prize will not be awarded.  Any unclaimed prize remains the property of Twin Cities Live.

4.         PRIZE:  There will be one (1) winner in this contest.  The winner will receive a trip to Branson, Missouri, for up to twenty (20) people.  The prize consists of the following:

a.         Transportation expenses in the amount of $1,000.00 (awarded in the form of five (5) $200.00 Visa gift cards).  This portion of the prize is subject to the policies, practices and procedures governing Visa gift cards.

b.         Hotel accommodations for up to twenty (20) people at the Welk Resort Branson for three (3) nights (maximum number of rooms is 10). Average room rate is $119 per night (prices vary depending on time of year). Rooms are subject to availability; resort expects that they will be completely booked for the Fourth of July and Labor Day weekends.  This portion of the prize is subject to the policies, practices and procedures of the Welk Resort Branson.  Total value of this portion of the prize is up to $3,570.  Prize must be used by December 31, 2013.

c.         Up to twenty (20) tickets to Hamner Barber in Branson, Missouri; tickets are subject to availability.  This portion of the prize is subject to the policies, practices and procedures governing the Hamner Barber show.  Total value of this portion of the prize is up to $620. Prize must be used by December 31, 2013.

d.         Up to twenty (20) VIP tickets to the IT show in Branson, Missouri; tickets are subject to availability.  This portion of the prize is subject to the policies, practices and procedures governing the IT show.  Total value of the prize is up to $999.80.  Prize must be used by December 31, 2013.

e.         Up to twenty (20) tickets to the Jim Stafford show in Branson, Missouri; tickets are subject to availability.  This portion of the prize is subject to the policies, practices and procedures governing the Jim Stafford show.  Total value of the prize is up to $676.60.  Prize must be used by December 31, 2013.

f.          Up to twenty (20) tickets to the Legends in Concert show in Branson, Missouri; tickets are subject to availability.  This portion of the prize is subject to the policies, practices and procedures governing the Legends in Concert show.  Total value of the prize is up to $725.40.  Prize must be used by December 31, 2013.

g.         Up to twenty (20) Ozarks Xplorer Canopy Tours passes to Branson Zipline Canopy Tours.  This portion of the prize is subject to the policies, practices and procedures of Branson Zipline Canopy Tours.  Total value of the prize is up to $1,999.80.  Prize must be used by December 31, 2013.

h.         Up to twenty (20) passes to Silver Dollar City.  This portion of the prize is subject to the policies, practices and procedures of Silver Dollar City.  Total value of the prize is up to $1,200.  Prize must be used by December 31, 2013.

Total value of the prize is up to $10,791.60.

A qualified winner must also meet the eligibility requirements as set forth in Paragraph 5 of these rules.  The winner is responsible for paying all applicable income taxes.  A 1099 form will be submitted to all appropriate taxing authorities, and by signing the Prize Release, the winner accepts the prize, and even if the winner does not use the prize, he/she will be responsible for the applicable taxes. 

5.         ELIGIBILITY:  Contest is open and offered to individuals who are 21 years or older and residents of Minnesota or Wisconsin.  Employees of Hubbard Broadcasting, Inc., KSTP-TV, LLC, Hubbard Broadcasting, Inc. and the Branson/Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce and Convention and Visitors Bureau, including their subsidiaries, affiliates, parent or related companies, and their immediate families, are not eligible to enter.  In order to be eligible to win a prize in this contest, you cannot have won and accepted any prize from Twin Cities Live within 30 days prior to the awarding of a prize to you in this contest, or won and accepted any prize or combination of prizes with a total stated value of $1,000.00 or more from Twin Cities Live within 365 days prior to the awarding of a prize to you in this contest. 

            By entering this contest, each entrant is certifying that he or she is not a professional photographer, that the submitted photograph is his or her own original work, and that he or she has the right to allow the publication of the photograph without restriction, and that KSTP-TV's use of the photograph will not infringe the rights of any third parties (e.g., copyrights, rights of publicity, etc.).

6.         CONTEST DEADLINE.  All entries must be received by Twin Cities Live no later than 11:59:59 p.m. on Friday, April 19, 2013. 

7.         RELEASE; CONSENT TO USE LIKENESS, VOICE AND ADDRESS:  The winner must execute an affidavit of eligibility.  Each person entering this contest (a) agrees to release and indemnify KSTP-TV, LLC, Hubbard Broadcasting, Inc. and the Branson/Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce and Convention and Visitors Bureau (including their subsidiaries, affiliates, parent or related companies) from and against any and all liability, claims, damages and actions arising directly or indirectly out of or sustained in connection with the awarding, acceptance or use of the prize(s), and (b) consents to the use by KSTP-TV for promotional purposes only of his likeness and/or voice, address (city and state) and his or her contest entry (which may be posted on the KSTP-TV website and/or shown on the air).  By accepting the prize, the winner agrees to be bound by these official rules, including the above release.  By accompanying the winner, the winner’s guests agree to be bound by the terms of these official rules, including the preceding release.

9.         WINNER LIST:  For the name of the winner, send a separate self-addressed, stamped envelope before May 31, 2013, to Winners List, Twin Cities Live, Family Reunion in Branson Contest, 3415 University Avenue, St. Paul, Minnesota  55114.

10.       MISCELLANEOUS: 

            Decisions of KSTP-TV concerning any and all matters with respect to this contest shall be final.  KSTP-TV reserves the right to change these rules, as well as the terms and conditions of this contest, without notice.  KSTP-TV reserves the right to change the prize values at any time, or to substitute prizes of comparable value.  Contest void where prohibited or otherwise restricted by law.  Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable.  KSTP-TV is not responsible for printing errors in the contest materials or these official rules.
