TWIN CITIES LIVE - APOLLO HEATING & AIR CONDITIONING'S GREAT FURNACE GIVEAWAY!

OFFICIAL RULES

1.         HOW TO ENTER:  NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.  In order to enter, from 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 19, 2012, through 11:59:59 p.m. on Friday, February 15, 2013,  go to the www.twincitieslive.com website, go to the contest section of the website, click on the “Apollo Heating & Air Conditioning's Great Furnace Giveaway” icon and complete the entry form, which includes explaining in 250 words or less why you or someone you know deserves to win a furnace from Apollo Heating; entries must also include your name, address, daytime telephone number and email address.  If you are nominating someone else to win the new furnace, your entry must also include the name, address and telephone number of the person you nominate.   If you are nominating yourself, the entry must also include the name, telephone number and email address of a secondary person to contact.  KSTP-TV is not responsible for problems accessing the website, technical or atmospheric conditions that disrupt the completion of the entry, or any other problems which might or might not result from this contest.  Viewers may enter this contest more than once, but can only nominate a specific person once.  There will be a total of three (3) winners in this contest.  Limit:  One winner per household.

2.         HOW THE WINNERS ARE CHOSEN/JUDGING CRITERIA:  From all eligible entries submitted pursuant to Paragraph 1 above, a panel of judges comprised of Twin Cities Live and Apollo Heating & Air Conditioning staff members, in their sole and absolute discretion, will determine the winners based on, but not limited to, how well their entry is written (33.3%), how well they explain their reason for wanting/needing the new furnace, (33.3%) and level of need (33.4%).  The top three (3) scoring entries will be deemed the winners of this contest, and those winners will be notified as follows:  one (1) winner will be notified the week of January 14, 2013; one (1) winner will be notified the week of February 4, 2013, and one (1) winner will be notified the week of February 28, 2013.  The winners must be willing to make themselves available for a pre-taped, on-camera interview with Twin Cities Live staff.  Sponsor reserves the right to not award all prizes for any prize level if, in its sole discretion, it does not receive a sufficient number of eligible and/or qualified submissions for a prize level in a particular entry period, entry pool, or otherwise. 

3.         CLAIMING YOUR PRIZE:  Each winner will be asked to stop by the KSTP-TV Studios, 3415 University Avenue, St. Paul, Minnesota, during normal business hours (Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) within ten (10) days of the day he/she wins to make arrangements for the filming of his/her interview.  When claiming a prize at the KSTP-TV Studios, the winner must prove he is a qualified winner by presenting identification acceptable to the sponsors (e.g., state drivers license; state issued identification card; valid passport with address verification; or birth certificate with social security card and photo identification and address verification).  If the winner cannot prove they are the qualified winner, another winner will be chosen by the panel of judges.

4.         PRIZE:  There will be three (3) winners in this contest.  Each winner will receive a new furnace for his/her home (including installation and equipment and supplies).  The brand of furnace installed will depend on the type of furnace being replaced and the manufacturer the winner prefers; manufacturers included are:  Amana, Lennox, Goodman and Carrier.  Value:  Approximately $3,500-$5,500 (depending on the manufacturer selected and the size of the home).  Any warranties and guarantees relating to this prize is strictly limited to the manufacturer’s.  Each winner will be surprised (not live) and each segment will air on Twin Cities Live.  Each winner must allow Apollo and Twin Cities Live Staff into their home with a camera.

            The prize is not transferable or exchangeable, nor can it be exchanged for cash or credit.  A qualified winner must also meet the eligibility requirements as set forth in Paragraph 5 of these rules.  All income taxes and other taxes are the responsibility of the winner.  A 1099 form will be submitted to all appropriate taxing authorities. 

5.         ELIGIBILITY:  Individuals must be 18 years or older to be eligible to participate in this contest; must live within a 50 mile radius of KSTP-TV which is located at 3415 University Avenue in St. Paul, MN; and must own the home that the furnace will be installed in. Employees of Hubbard Broadcasting, Inc., KSTP-TV, LLC and Apollo Heating and Air Conditioning, affiliates, parent or related companies, and their immediate families, are not eligible to enter.  In order to be eligible to win a prize in this contest, you cannot have won and accepted any prize from Twin Cities Live within 30 days prior to the awarding of a prize to you in this contest, or won and accepted any prize or combination of prizes with a total stated value of $1,000.00 or more from Twin Cities Live within 365 days prior to the awarding of a prize to you in this contest.

6.         CONTEST DEADLINE.  All entries must be received by Twin Cities Live no later than 11:59:59 p.m. on Friday, February 15, 2012. 

7.         RELEASE; CONSENT TO USE LIKENESS, VOICE AND ADDRESS:  Each winner must execute an affidavit of eligibility.  Each person entering this contest (a) agrees to release and indemnify Hubbard Broadcasting, Inc., KSTP-TV, LLC and Apollo Heating (including their subsidiaries, affiliates, parent or related companies) from and against any and all liability, claims, damages and actions arising directly or indirectly out of or sustained in connection with the awarding, acceptance or use of the prize, and (b) consents to the use by KSTP-TV for promotional purposes only of his likeness and/or voice, address (city and state) and his or her contest entry (which may be posted on the KSTP-TV website and/or read on the air) and  the filming of the surprise awarding of the prize without any additional compensation.  By accepting the prize, each winner agrees to be bound by these official rules, including the above release. 

8.         WINNER LIST:  For the names of the winners, send a separate self-addressed, stamped envelope before March 31, 2013, to Winners List, KSTP-TV, Apollo Heating & Air Conditioning's Great Furnace Giveaway, 3415 University Avenue, St. Paul, Minnesota  55114.

9.         MISCELLANEOUS: 

            Decisions of KSTP-TV concerning any and all matters with respect to this contest shall be final.  KSTP-TV reserves the right to change these rules, as well as the terms and conditions of this contest, without notice.  KSTP-TV reserves the right to change the prize values at any time, or to substitute prizes of comparable value.  Contest void where prohibited or otherwise restricted by law.  Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable.  KSTP-TV is not responsible for printing errors in the contest materials or these official rules.
