1.         HOW TO ENTER:  NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.  In order to enter, from 3:00 p.m. on Monday, November 19, 2012, through 11:59:59 p.m. on Monday, December 3, 2012, go to the www.twincitieslive.com website, click on the "Home for the Holidays” icon and complete the entry form, which includes stating in 250 words or less why you deserve a "Home for the Holidays" trip, and stating in 250 words or less who you would like to visit or who you would like to come visit you for the holidays; entries must also include your name, address, daytime telephone number and email address and a photograph fo the person who needs to be home for the holidays; you must also include in your entry contact information (email address and daytime telephone number) for a secondary person (the person who will be contacted if you are the winner and will help arrange the surprise awarding of the prize)  KSTP-TV is not responsible for problems accessing the website or completing the entry, technical or atmospheric conditions that disrupt the completion of the entry, or any other problems which might or might not result from this contest.  Any person submitting more than one entry and/or an entry exceeding the word limit may be disqualified.

2.         HOW TO PLAY/HOW THE WINNER IS CHOSEN:  Enter as explained in Paragraph 1 above.  From all eligible entries submitted, a panel of judges comprised of staff members from Twin Cities Live, in their sole discretion, will determine the winner based on, but not limited to, the following judging criteria:  the description as to why they deserve a home for the holidays trip (51%) and their submission on who they would like to visit or who they would like to fly home for the holidays (49%).  There will be three (3) winners in this contest.  The three (3) contestants with the highest scores using the preceding judging criteria will be deemed the winners.  In the event of a tie, the contestant(s) with the highest score in the explanation of why they deserve a home for the holidays trip category will be deemed the winner from among all tying contestants.  Each winner will be surprised LIVE on television during Twin Cities Live (3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.) on each of the following dates:  December 3, 2012; December 4, 2012; and December 5, 2012.  If the winner is not at the designated location when a Twin Cities Live staff members arrives at his/her designated location (home, work restaurant, etc.), he/she will be notified by email and/or a telephone call informing him/her that he/she has won. 

3.         CLAIMING YOUR PRIZE:  The winner must claim his/her prize in person at the KSTP-TV Studios, 3415 University Avenue, St. Paul, Minnesota 55114, during normal business hours (Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) within ten (10) business days of the day he/she wins the prize. Failure to comply with this deadline shall be deemed to be the winner’s forfeiture of his or her right to claim a prize.  The winner must present identification acceptable to KSTP-TV (e.g., state drivers license; state issued identification card; valid passport with address verification; or birth certificate with social security card and photo identification and address verification).  If a qualifier winner cannot prove he or she is qualified to accept the prize, the prize will not be awarded.  Any unclaimed prize remains the property of Twin Cities Live.

4.         PRIZE:  There will be three (3) winners in this contest.  Each winner will receive the following:  A $1,000 air travel voucher from Delta Vacations redeemable for a trip (the location must be within the lower 48 states and must be somewhere that Delta currently serves), plus $500 for hotel and/or car. Travel must be booked by December 1, 2013, and used by December 31, 2013.  The vacation package is non-refundable and non-transferable. Tickets and hotel certificates issued in conjunction with this promotion have zero cash value..  Travel is not permitted on the following dates:  2013 - March 10-31, November 21-27.  Cannot be applied towards previously purchased trip.  This certificate may not be combined with any other coupon, certificates, discount, bonus, infant fare, upgrade, SkyMiles air travel award or promotional offers/tickets.  This certificate is not valid with Miscellaneous Charge Order or prepaid tickets.  Trip certificate is not applicable to Ski; Dive; Asia Escorted tours; Globus family of brands including, Globus, Cosmos, Monograms and Avalon.  This certificate cannot be sold or transferred.  Purchased certificates are subject to confiscation and you will not be allowed to travel.  Only original certificates will be accepted.  Certificates will not be replaced.  Void if altered. Travel must be roundtrip. To make your travel arrangements, please call 1-800-452-5672,and refer to the number on the front of the certificate.  Reservations must be made and ticket issued prior to departure.  Booking and travel dates must fall into the range as specified on the front of the certificate.  Delta Vacations must issue all travel documentation.  Certificate may only be applied towards number of passengers specified on the certificate; passengers must travel on the same itinerary and must be booked through Delta Vacations.  Any unused portion of the certificate will not be refunded and cannot be used towards another booking or another service component.  Travel agent commission is not paid/earned on a free trip value, taxes and fees.  If booking exceeds certificate value, recipient is responsible or any balance due and must be paid in full at time of booking.  Hotel taxes, state and federal income taxes may apply and are the sole responsibility of the recipient.  Changes to reservations, once made, are not permitted.  Checked luggage fees may apply, fees are charged each way and are subject to change.  Refer to delta.com for current rates.  A per ticket surcharge will apply for paper tickets issued in markets where electronic ticketing is available.  Substitutions will not be allowed.  Space is subject to availability.  SkyMiles mileage credit will be awarded.  Flight scheduled are subject to change without notice.  Standard Delta Vacations Terms and Conditions apply and are outlined during the booking process; other airline, hotel or vendor restrictions may apply.  If a winner and/or his/her guest misses the initial flight as scheduled, the winner will forfeit the prize.  If the winner and/or his/her guest is not present for the designated return flight, he/she is solely responsible for his/her return to Minnesota.  The trip is subject to all applicable hotel and airline policies, practices and procedures.

A qualified winner must also meet the eligibility requirements as set forth in Paragraph 5 of these rules.  The winner is responsible for paying all applicable income taxes.  A 1099 form will be submitted to all appropriate taxing authorities, and by signing the Prize Release, each winner accepts the prize, and even if the winner does not use the prize/trip, he/she will be responsible for the applicable taxes. 

5.         ELIGIBILITY:  Individuals must be 18 years or older and residents of Minnesota or Wisconsin in order to be eligible to participate in this contest.  Employees of Hubbard Broadcasting, Inc., KSTP-TV, LLC and Delta Vacations, including their subsidiaries, affiliates, parent or related companies, and their immediate families, are not eligible to enter.  In order to be eligible to win a prize in this contest, you cannot have won and accepted any prize from Twin Cities Live within 30 days prior to the awarding of a prize to you in this contest, or won and accepted any prize or combination of prizes with a total stated value of $1,000.00 or more from Twin Cities Live within 365 days prior to the awarding of a prize to you in this contest. 

By entering this contest, each entrant is certifying that he or she is not a professional photographer, that the submitted photograph is his or her own original work, and that he or she has the right to allow the publication of the photograph without restriction, and that KSTP-TV's use of the photograph will not infringe the rights of any third parties (e.g., copyrights, rights of publicity, etc.).

6.         CONTEST DEADLINE.  All entries must be received by Twin Cities Live no later than 11:59:59 p.m. on Monday, December 3, 2012. 

7.         RELEASE; CONSENT TO USE LIKENESS, VOICE AND ADDRESS:  Each winner must execute an affidavit of eligibility.  Each person entering this contest (a) agrees to release and indemnify Hubbard Broadcasting, Inc., KSTP-TV, LLC and Delta Vacations (including their subsidiaries, affiliates, parent or related companies) from and against any and all liability, claims, damages and actions arising directly or indirectly out of or sustained in connection with the awarding, acceptance or use of the prize(s), and (b) consents to the use by KSTP-TV for promotional purposes only of his likeness and/or voice, address (city and state) and his or her contest entry (which may be posted on the KSTP-TV website and/or shown on the air) without any additional compensation.  By accepting the prize, the winner agrees to be bound by these official rules, including the above release.

9.         WINNER LIST:  For the names of the winners, send a separate self-addressed, stamped envelope before January 15, 2013, to Winners List, Twin Cities Live, Home for the Holidays Contest, 3415 University Avenue, St. Paul, Minnesota  55114.

10.       MISCELLANEOUS: 

            Decisions of KSTP-TV concerning any and all matters with respect to this contest shall be final.  KSTP-TV reserves the right to change these rules, as well as the terms and conditions of this contest, without notice.  KSTP-TV reserves the right to change the prize values at any time, or to substitute prizes of comparable value.  Contest void where prohibited or otherwise restricted by law.  Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable.  KSTP-TV is not responsible for printing errors in the contest materials or these official rules.
