TWIN CITIES LIVE - SECOND HONEYMOON TO ITALY
OFFICIAL RULES
1. HOW TO ENTER: NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. In order to enter, from 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 4, 2012, through 11:59:59 p.m. on Friday, September 21, 2012, go to the www.twincitieslive.com website, go to the contest section of the website, click on the “Second Honeymoon to Italy” icon and complete the entry form, which includes submitting a photograph of you and your significant other and explaining in 250 words or less why you and your significant other deserve a second honeymoon; entries must also include your name, address, daytime telephone number and email address; you must also include in your entry contact information (email address and telephone number) for a secondary person (the person who will be contacted if you are the winner and will help arrange the surprise awarding of the prize). KSTP-TV is not responsible for problems accessing the website, technical or atmospheric conditions that disrupt the completion of the entry, or any other problems which might or might not result from this contest. Viewers may only enter this contest once. Any person submitting more than one entry or an entry containing more than 250 words may be disqualified.
2. HOW THE WINNER IS CHOSEN/JUDGING CRITERIA: From all eligible entries submitted pursuant to Paragraph 1 above, a panel of judges comprised of the Twin Cities Live Executive Producer, an AAA representative and a Trafalgar representative, in their sole and absolute discretion, will determine the winner based on, but not limited to, how well their entry is written (33.3%), how unique their entry is (33.3%) and how well they explain their reason for wanting a second honeymoon (33.4%). The entrant with the highest score using the judging criteria above will be deemed the winner, and the winner surprised LIVE on television during Twin Cities Live (3:00-4:00 p.m.) on Friday, September 28, 2012. If the winner is not at the designated location when a Twin Cities Live staff member arrives at his/her designated location (home, work, restaurant, etc.), he/she will be notified by email and/or a telephone call informing him/her that he/she has won. In the event of a tie, the entrant with the highest score in how well their entry is written category will be deemed the winner from among all tying entries.
3. CLAIMING YOUR PRIZE: The winner will be asked to stop by the KSTP-TV Studios, 3415 University Avenue, St. Paul, Minnesota, during normal business hours (Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) within ten (10) days of the day he/she wins the prize. When claiming a prize at the KSTP-TV Studios, the winner must prove he is a qualified winner by presenting identification acceptable to the sponsors (e.g., state drivers license; state issued identification card; valid passport with address verification; or birth certificate with social security card and photo identification and address verification). If the winner cannot prove they are the qualified winner, another winner will be chosen by the panel of judges.
4. PRIZE: There will be one (1) winner in this contest. The winner will receive a trip for two (2) from Trafalgar Tours to Italy, which includes visiting the cities of Rome, Venice and Florence, from November 2, 2012 to November 9, 2012. Dates cannot be changed. Winner must travel on dates specified herein or trip will be forfeited. The trip includes: roundtrip coach airfare from Minneapolis, Minnesota, hotel accommodations (one room, double occupancy) with all hotel service charges and tips, baggage handling fees and local taxes, six (6) breakfasts and three (3) dinners per person, touring by luxury air-conditioned coach with reclining seats, roundtrip transfers between airports and hotels, the services of one of Trafalgar’s top professional multi-lingual Tour Directors and a wallet containing tour documents and helpful information. Value: $5,350 ($3,350 for Italian Holiday Tour portion; $2,000 for airfare portion). If the airfare amount goes beyond $1,000 per person, the winner is responsible for the additional amount(s)). All other expenses (including, without limitation, personal expenses, telephone charges, meals and beverage (not listed above), and all federal, state and local taxes (including applicable income taxes)) and fees incurred are the winner's/guest's sole responsibility. Winner and guest must travel on same itinerary. If the winner and/or his/her guest misses the initial departure as scheduled, the winner will forfeit the prize. If the winner and/or his/her guest is not present for the designated return flight, he/she is solely responsible for his/her return to Minnesota.
The prize is not transferable or exchangeable, nor can it be exchanged for cash or credit. A qualified winner must also meet the eligibility requirements as set forth in Paragraph 5 of these rules. All income taxes and other taxes are the responsibility of the winner. A 1099 form will be submitted to all appropriate taxing authorities.
5. ELIGIBILITY: Individuals must be 21 years or older to be eligible to participate in this contest. Employees of Hubbard Broadcasting, Inc., KSTP-TV, LLC, AAA and Trafalgar Tours, affiliates, parent or related companies, and their immediate families, are not eligible to enter. In order to be eligible to win a prize in this contest, you cannot have won and accepted any prize from Twin Cities Live within 30 days prior to the awarding of a prize to you in this contest, or won and accepted any prize or combination of prizes with a total stated value of $1,000.00 or more from Twin Cities Live within 365 days prior to the awarding of a prize to you in this contest.
6. CONTEST DEADLINE. All entries must be received by Twin Cities Live no later than 11:59:59 p.m. on Friday, September 21, 2012.
7. RELEASE; CONSENT TO USE LIKENESS, VOICE AND ADDRESS: The winner must execute an affidavit of eligibility. Each person entering this contest (a) agrees to release and indemnify Hubbard Broadcasting, Inc., KSTP-TV, LLC, AAA and Trafalgar Tours (including their subsidiaries, affiliates, parent or related companies) from and against any and all liability, claims, damages and actions arising directly or indirectly out of or sustained in connection with the awarding, acceptance or use of the prize, and (b) consents to the use by KSTP-TV for promotional purposes only of his likeness and/or voice, address (city and state) and his or her contest entry (which may be posted on the KSTP-TV website and/or read on the air) without any additional compensation. By accepting the prize, the winner agrees to be bound by these official rules, including the above release. By accompanying the winner, the winner’s guest agrees to be bound by the terms of these official rules, including the preceding release.
8. WINNER LIST: For the name of the winner, send a separate self-addressed, stamped envelope before October 31, 2012, to Winners List, Twin Cities Live Second Honeymoon to Italy, 3415 University Avenue, St. Paul, Minnesota, 55114.
9. MISCELLANEOUS: Decisions of KSTP-TV concerning any and all matters with respect to this contest shall be final. KSTP-TV reserves the right to change these rules, as well as the terms and conditions of this contest, without notice. KSTP-TV reserves the right to change the prize values at any time, or to substitute prizes of comparable value. Contest void where prohibited or otherwise restricted by law. Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable. KSTP-TV is not responsible for printing errors in the contest materials or these official rules.
