1.HOW TO ENTER: NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. In order to enter, from 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 18, 2012, through 11:59:59 p.m. on Tuesday, January 23, 2012, go to the www.twincitieslive.com website, click on the "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof Makeover" icon, and complete the entry form, which includes saying in 250 words or less why you need a makeover and a night out and submit a photograph of yourself. Entries must also include your name, address, daytime telephone number and email. KSTP-TV is not responsible for problems accessing the website or completing the entry, technical or atmospheric conditions that disrupt the completion of the entry, or any other problems which might or might not result from this contest. Any person submitting more than one entry, an entry longer than 250 words or an entry without a photograph attached may be disqualified.
2.HOW TO PLAY/HOW THE WINNER IS CHOSEN: Enter as explained in Paragraph 1 above. From all eligible entries submitted, a panel of judges comprised of the Twin Cities Live Executive Producer and Fashion Producer, a News Reflections Salon representative and a Ridgedale Mall representative, in their sole discretion, will determine one (1) winner based on, but not limited to, the following judging criteria: how well the entry is written (33.3%), how the entrant explained his/her reason for wanting a makeover (33.3%) and how significant a change the makeover will make on the appearance of the person entering the contest (33.4%). The entry with the highest score using the judging criteria will be selected as the winner on Wednesday, January 24, 2012. In the event of a tie, the entry with the highest score in the “how significant a change the makeover will make” criteria will be deemed the Grand Prize winner from among all tying entries. The winner must be available the entire day on Friday, January 27, 2012, and must be willing to appear live on Twin Cities Live on Friday, January 27, 2012.
3.CLAIMING YOUR PRIZE: The winner must claim his/her prize in person at the KSTP-TV Studios, 3415 University Avenue, St. Paul, Minnesota 55114, during normal business hours (Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) by Friday, January 27, 2012, and must be available the entire day on Friday, January 27, 2012, and must be willing to appear live on Twin Cities Live on Friday, January 27, 2012. Failure to comply with this deadline shall be deemed to be the winner’s forfeiture of his or her right to claim a prize. The winner must present identification acceptable to KSTP-TV (e.g., state drivers license; state issued identification card; valid passport with address verification; or birth certificate with social security card and photo identification and address verification). If a qualifier winner cannot prove he or she is qualified to accept the prize, the prize will not be awarded. Any unclaimed prizes remain the property of Twin Cities Live.
4.PRIZE: There will one (1) winner in this contest. The winner will receive the following:
a.Two (2) tickets to see “Cat On a Hot Tin Roof” at the Guthrie Theatre in Minneapolis, Minnesota; the date to be determined based on the winner’s and the show’s availability. Value: $136. The tickets are subject to all applicable policies, practices and procedures of the Guthrie Theatre.
b.One night stay for two (2) (one room, double occupancy) at the Aloft Hotel in Minneapolis, Minnesota (on the same evening as the night chosen by the winner to attend “Cat On a Hot Tin Roof”). Value: $150. The prize is subject to all applicable policies, practices and procedures of the Aloft Hotel.
c.Outfit/Accessories from Ridgedale Mall in Minnetonka, Minnesota: Ridgedale’s Fashion Director will select an outfit for the winner to model on-air. After the show, the outfit will be returned to the store and the winner will be provided with a $250 Ridgedale gift card. The gift care is subject to all applicable policies, practices and procedures applicable to Ridgedale Mall gift cards.
d.Haircut, color and make-up application on January 27, 2012, from New Reflections Salon & Spa. Value: $150.
A qualified winner must also meet the eligibility requirements as set forth in Paragraph 5 of these rules. The winner is responsible for paying all applicable income taxes. A 1099 form will be submitted to all appropriate taxing authorities, and by signing the Prize Release, each winner accepts the prize, and even if the winner does not use the prize/trip, he/she will be responsible for the applicable taxes.
5.ELIGIBILITY: Individuals must be 18 years or older and residents of Minnesota or Wisconsin in order to be eligible to participate in this contest. Employees of Hubbard Broadcasting, Inc., KSTP-TV, LLC, Guthrie Theatre, Aloft Hotel, Ridgedale Mall and New Reflections Salon & Spa, including their subsidiaries, affiliates, parent or related companies, and their immediate families, are not eligible to enter. In order to be eligible to win a prize in this contest, you cannot have won and accepted any prize from Twin Cities Live within 30 days prior to the awarding of a prize to you in this contest, or won and accepted any prize or combination of prizes with a total stated value of $1,000.00 or more from Twin Cities Live within 365 days prior to the awarding of a prize to you in this contest.
6.CONTEST DEADLINE. All entries must be received by Twin Cities Live no later than 11:59:59 p.m. on Tuesday, January 23, 2012.
7.RELEASE; CONSENT TO USE LIKENESS, VOICE AND ADDRESS: The winner must execute an affidavit of eligibility. Each person entering this contest (a) agrees to release and indemnify Hubbard Broadcasting, Inc., KSTP-TV, LLC, Guthrie Theatre, Aloft Hotel, Ridgedale Mall and New Reflections Salon & Spa (including their subsidiaries, affiliates, parent or related companies) from and against any and all liability, claims, damages and actions arising directly or indirectly out of or sustained in connection with the awarding, acceptance or use of the prize(s), and (b) consents to the use by KSTP-TV for promotional purposes only of his likeness and/or voice, address (city and state) and his or her contest entry (which may be posted on the KSTP-TV website and/or read on the air) without any additional compensation. By accepting the prize, the winner agrees to be bound by these official rules, including the above release.
9.WINNER LIST: For the name of the winner, send a separate self-addressed, stamped envelope before February 28, 2012, to Winners List, Twin Cities Live, Cat on A Hot Tin Roof Makeover, 3415 University Avenue, St. Paul, Minnesota 55114.
10.MISCELLANEOUS:
Decisions of KSTP-TV concerning any and all matters with respect to this contest shall be final. KSTP-TV reserves the right to change these rules, as well as the terms and conditions of this contest, without notice. KSTP-TV reserves the right to change the prize values at any time, or to substitute prizes of comparable value. Contest void where prohibited or otherwise restricted by law. Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable. KSTP-TV is not responsible for printing errors in the contest materials or these official rules.
