1.HOW TO ENTER: NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. In order to enter, from Friday December 30, 2011, through 11:59:59 p.m. on Wednesday, January 18, 2012, go to the www.twincitieslive.com website, click on the "Cutest Baby Contest" icon, complete the entry form, and submit a photograph of your baby (a baby is considered one month to 3 years of age as of January 1, 2012). KSTP-TV is not responsible for problems accessing the website or completing the entry, technical or atmospheric conditions that disrupt the completion of the entry, or any other problems which might or might not result from this contest. Any person submitting more than one entry or an entry without a photograph attached may be disqualified. The person entering the contest/submitting the photograph must be the parent or legal guardian of the child depicted in the photograph.
2.HOW TO PLAY/HOW THE WINNER IS CHOSEN: Enter as explained in Paragraph 1 above. From all eligible entries submitted, a panel of judges comprised of staff members from Twin Cities Live and Savvy.mn Magazine, in their sole discretion, will determine five (5) semi-finalists based on, but not limited to, the following judging criteria: uniqueness of photograph (34%), description of photograph (33%) and the entry was correctly completed (33%). The contestants with the top five (5) highest scores using the judging criteria will be deemed the contest semi-finalists. Then, beginning Monday, January 23, 2012, through Friday, January 27, 2012, viewers may log on to www.twincitieslive.com and vote for the baby they think is the cutest; limit, one vote per day per email address. The top two (2) semi-finalists with the most votes during the public voting period will be deemed the contest finalists. Then, on or about, Monday, January 30, 2012, a panel of qualified judges from Twin Cities Live and Savvy.mn Magazine, in their sole and absolute discretion, will determine the contest grand prize winner from the two (2) contest finalists, based on the judging criteria above. The finalist with the highest overall score using the judging criteria will be deemed the contest grand prize winner. The grand prize winner will be contacted via email and telephone. In the event of a tie, the contestant with the highest score in the uniqueness of photograph category will be deemed the winner from among all tying contestants. Each of the five (5) semi-finalists must appear in the Twin Cities Live studios on Monday, January 23, 2012, when they will be announced to the public.
3.CLAIMING YOUR PRIZE: The winner must claim his/her prize in person at the KSTP-TV Studios, 3415 University Avenue, St. Paul, Minnesota 55114, during normal business hours (Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) within ten (10) business days of the day he/she wins. Failure to comply with this deadline shall be deemed to be the winner’s forfeiture of his or her right to claim a prize. The winner must present identification acceptable to KSTP-TV (e.g., state drivers license; state issued identification card; valid passport with address verification; or birth certificate with social security card and photo identification and address verification). If a qualifier winner cannot prove he or she is qualified to accept the prize, the prize will not be awarded. Any unclaimed prizes remain the property of Twin Cities Live.
4.PRIZE: There will one (1) winner in this contest; the winner will be the parent/legal guardian of the child whose photograph is chosen to be the winner. The winner will receive the following: The winner’s child will be featured on the cover of Savvy.mn Magazine Kids Edition in February, 2012, and the winner will also receive a $250 American Express gift card. The prize is subject to the policies, practices and procedures of Savvy.mn Magazine Kids Edition and American Express.
A qualified winner must also meet the eligibility requirements as set forth in Paragraph 5 of these rules. The winner is responsible for paying all applicable income taxes. A 1099 form will be submitted to all appropriate taxing authorities, and by signing the Prize Release, each winner accepts the prize, and even if the winner does not use the prize/trip, he/she will be responsible for the applicable taxes.
5.ELIGIBILITY: Individuals must be 18 years or older, residents of Minnesota or Wisconsin and the parent or legal guardian of the child whose photograph has been submitted in order to be eligible to participate in this contest. Employees of Hubbard Broadcasting, Inc., KSTP-TV and Savvy.mn Magazine, including their subsidiaries, affiliates, parent or related companies, and their immediate families, are not eligible to enter. In order to be eligible to win a prize in this contest, you cannot have won and accepted any prize from Twin Cities Live within 30 days prior to the awarding of a prize to you in this contest, or won and accepted any prize or combination of prizes with a total stated value of $1,000.00 or more from Twin Cities Live within 365 days prior to the awarding of a prize to you in this contest.
By entering this contest, each entrant is certifying that he or she is not a professional photographer, that the submitted photograph is his or her own original work, and that he or she has the right to allow the publication of the photograph without restriction, and that KSTP-TV's use of the photograph will not infringe the rights of any third parties (e.g., copyrights, rights of publicity, etc.).
6.CONTEST DEADLINE. All entries must be received by Twin Cities Live no later than 11:59:59 p.m. on Wednesday, January 18, 2012.
7.RELEASE; CONSENT TO USE LIKENESS, VOICE AND ADDRESS: The winner must execute an affidavit of eligibility. Each person entering this contest (a) agrees to release and indemnify Hubbard Broadcasting, Inc., KSTP-TV, LLC and Savvy.mn Magazine (including their subsidiaries, affiliates, parent or related companies) from and against any and all liability, claims, damages and actions arising directly or indirectly out of or sustained in connection with the awarding, acceptance or use of the prize(s), and (b) consents to the use by KSTP-TV for promotional purposes only of his likeness and/or voice, address (city and state) and his or her contest entry (which may be posted on the KSTP-TV website and/or shown on the air) without any additional compensation. By accepting the prize, the winner agrees to be bound by these official rules, including the above release.
9.WINNER LIST: For the name of the winner, send a separate self-addressed, stamped envelope before February 28, 2012, to Winners List, Twin Cities Live, Cutest Baby contest, 3415 University Avenue, St. Paul, Minnesota 55114.
10.MISCELLANEOUS:
Decisions of KSTP-TV concerning any and all matters with respect to this contest shall be final. KSTP-TV reserves the right to change these rules, as well as the terms and conditions of this contest, without notice. KSTP-TV reserves the right to change the prize values at any time, or to substitute prizes of comparable value. Contest void where prohibited or otherwise restricted by law. Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable. KSTP-TV is not responsible for printing errors in the contest materials or these official rules.
