TWIN CITIES LIVE SURPRISE FAIRYTALE PROPOSAL BY R. F. MOELLER
OFFICIAL RULES
1.HOW TO ENTER: NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. In order to enter, from 9:00 a.m. on Monday, August 9, 2010, through 11:59:59 p.m. on Friday, August 20, 2010, go to the www.twincitieslive.com website, go to the contest section of the website, click on the “TCL Surprise FAIRytale Proposal” icon and complete the entry form, which includes answering a few simple questions regarding what makes your relationship special, your love for the Minnesota State Fair and why you want to get engaged on live television at the Minnesota State Fair; entries must also include your name, address, daytime telephone number, email address and an uploaded picture of you and your significant other. KSTP-TV is not responsible for problems accessing the website, technical or atmospheric conditions that disrupt the completion of the entry, or any other problems which might or might not result from this contest. Viewers may only enter this contest once. Any person submitting more than one entry may be disqualified.
2.HOW TO PLAY/HOW THE WINNER IS CHOSEN: In order to enter, from 9:00 a.m. on Monday, August 9, 2010, through 11:59:59 p.m. on Friday, August 20, 2010, go to the www.twincitieslive.com website, go to the contest section of the website, click on the “TCL Surprise FAIRytale Proposal” icon and complete the entry form, which includes answering a few simple questions regarding what makes your relationship special, your love for the Minnesota State Fair and why you want to get engaged on live television at the Minnesota State Fair; entries must also include your name, address, daytime telephone number, email address and an uploaded picture of you and your significant other. From the entries submitted, a panel of judges comprised of Twin Cities Live producers and R. F. Moeller representatives, in their sole and absolute discretion, will determine three (3) finalists based on, but not limited to, creativity of their entry, how they describe their unique love story and how they describe their connection to the Minnesota State Fair. The three (3) finalists will be selected, then personal interviews will be conducted and the winner will be chosen based on how well he/she expressed himself/herself on the telephone interview and how he/she speaks about his/her significant other and his/her willingness and excitement to propose on live television during the Minnesota State Fair. The finalists will be notified on Monday, August 23, 2010, and the winner will be selected and notified by Wednesday, August 25, 2010. The winner must be willing to shoot a ring shopping segment prior to the actual proposal (must be available on the day/time when producers need to shoot the segment at R. F. Moeller in St. Paul). The winner and his/her significant other must be available for the proposal event at the Minnesota State Fair during the live show of Twin Cities Live on Wednesday, September 1, 2010.
3.CLAIMING YOUR PRIZE: The winner will be asked to stop by the KSTP-TV Studios, 3415 University Avenue, St. Paul, Minnesota, during normal business hours (Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) as soon as possible after he is contacted to make arrangements for the filming of the ring shopping experience. When claiming a prize at the KSTP-TV Studios, the winner must prove he is a qualified winner by presenting identification acceptable to the sponsors (e.g., state drivers license; state issued identification card; valid passport with address verification; or birth certificate with social security card and photo identification and address verification). If the winner cannot prove they are the qualified winner or does not respond within three (3) business days of the day they win the prize, another winner will be chosen by the panel of judges.
4.PRIZE: There will be one (1) winner in this contest. The winner will receive a $7,500 Ideal Cut Lazare Diamond engagement ring from R. F. Moeller and the chance to propose live during the September 1, 2010, Twin Cities Live show at the Minnesota State Fair, along with two admission tickets to the Minnesota State Fair.
The prize is not transferable or exchangeable, nor can it be exchanged for cash or credit. A qualified winner must also meet the eligibility requirements as set forth in Paragraph 5 of these rules. All income taxes and other taxes are the responsibility of the winner. A 1099 form will be submitted to all appropriate taxing authorities.
Odds of winning are dependent on the number of eligible entries received.
5.ELIGIBILITY: Individuals must be 18 years or older to be eligible to participate in this contest. Employees of Hubbard Broadcasting, Inc., KSTP-TV, LLC and R. F. Moeller, including their subsidiaries, affiliates, parent or related companies, and their immediate families, are not eligible to enter.
6.CONTEST DEADLINE. All entries must be received by Twin Cities Live no later than 11:59:59 p.m. on Friday, August 20, 2010.
7.RELEASE; CONSENT TO USE LIKENESS, VOICE AND ADDRESS: The winner must execute an affidavit of eligibility. Each person entering this contest (a) agrees to release and indemnify Hubbard Broadcasting, Inc., KSTP-TV, LLC and R. F. Moeller (including their subsidiaries, affiliates, parent or related companies) from and against any and all liability, claims, damages and actions arising directly or indirectly out of or sustained in connection with the awarding, acceptance or use of the prize, and (b) consents to the use by KSTP-TV for promotional purposes only of his likeness and/or voice, address (city and state) and his or her contest entry (which may be posted on the KSTP-TV website and/or read on the air) without any additional compensation. By accepting the prize, the winner agrees to be bound by these official rules, including the above release.
8.WINNER LIST: For the name of the winner, send a separate self-addressed, stamped envelope before September 30, 2010, to Winners List, Twin Cities Live Wedding Proposal Contest, 3415 University Avenue, St. Paul, Minnesota 55114.
9.MISCELLANEOUS:
Decisions of KSTP-TV concerning any and all matters with respect to this contest shall be final. KSTP-TV reserves the right to change these rules, as well as the terms and conditions of this contest, without notice. KSTP-TV reserves the right to change the prize values at any time, or to substitute prizes of comparable value. Contest void where prohibited or otherwise restricted by law. Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable. KSTP-TV is not responsible for printing errors in the contest materials or these official rules.
