TWIN CITIES LIVE - LUCKIEST COOK CONTEST

  OFFICIAL RULES

1.         HOW TO ENTER:  NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.  In order to enter, from 3:00 p.m. (CST) on Tuesday, March 17, 2015, through 11:59:59 p.m. (CST) on Sunday, April 5, 2015, go to the www.twincitieslive.com website, click on the "TCL’s Luckiest Cook " icon, and complete the entry form (name, address, phone number, email address), and upload a video no longer than five (5) minutes in length of you cooking your original dish that features FINNEGANS beer as one of the ingredients.  Your entry must also include a description in 250 words or less as to why you would like to be a guest on Twin Cities Live and cook your dish; the entry must include your original recipe.  KSTP-TV is not responsible for problems accessing the website, technical or atmospheric conditions that disrupt the completion of the entry, or any other problems which might or might not result from this contest.  Any person submitting more than one entry, an entry longer than 5 minutes in length, a description longer than 250 words and/or not including the recipe may be disqualified.  Limit one entry per person; one finalist per household.

2.         HOW TO PLAY/HOW THE WINNER IS CHOSEN: Enter pursuant to Paragraph 1 above.  From the eligible entries submitted, a panel of judges composed of TCL staff members will, in their sole discretion, determine four (4) finalists based on, but not limited to, each contestant’s: (a) description of why he/she wants to be a guest on Twin Cities Live and cook his/her dish (33%); (b) ability to cook and talk at the same time (33%); (c) creative and original recipe (34%).  The four (4) finalists will be selected by Friday, April 10, 2015, and the finalists will be notified by email and/or telephone on Monday, April 13, 2015.  

             Each of the four (4) finalists will then need to be available to be in-studio from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. one day during the week of April 27-April 30, 2015 to cook his/her dish live on Twin Cities Live.  The day will be determined by Twin Cities Live staff, in their sole discretion.   Each finalist will be asked to prepare his/her dish on the assigned day.  Each dish will then be scored when each finalist appears on Twin Cities Live by a panel of judges consisting of Hubbard Broadcasting, Inc. staff members, and representatives from FINNEGANS and AAA Minneapolis, in their sole discretion, based on three (3) categories:  taste (33%), creativity (33%) and presentation (34%).  Each category will be assigned a score from 1 to 5 (1 being the worst, 5 being the best), and the person with the highest score will be the winner.  In the event of a tie, the judges will be asked to vote for their favorite between the finalists who are tied. 

 The four (4) finalists must also each appear in studio on Friday, May 1, 2015, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., when the winner will be announced live on Twin Cities Live between 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.  A finalist must be present to win.

 Each finalist will be reimbursed up to $100 for the ingredients used in the recipe that is made on-air pursuant to this paragraph.  In order to be reimbursed, a finalist must provide to Twin Cities Live staff member all substantiating receipts.

 3.         CLAIMING YOUR PRIZE:  The winner will receive his/her prize on Friday, May 1, 2015.  When claiming the prize, the winner must prove he/she is a qualified winner by presenting identification acceptable to the sponsors (e.g., state drivers license; state issued identification card; valid passport with address verification; or birth certificate with social security card and photo identification and address verification). 

 4.         PRIZE:  There will be one (1) prize winner in this contest.  The winner will receive a trip for two (2) to Ireland, consisting of the following:

 a.         Two (2) roundtrip airline tickets from Minneapolis, Minnesota to Dublin, Ireland.

 b.         Seven (7) nights hotel accommodations (one room, double occupancy), with all hotel service charges and tips, baggage handling fees and local taxes included.

 c.         Cities visited will include, Dublin, Galway, Killarney and Blarney.

 d.         Includes welcome reception, six (6) breakfasts and two (2) dinners (including a Farewell Dinner in Dublin).

 e.         Travel by luxury air-conditioned coach bus with reclining seats and restroom on board.

 f.          Roundtrip transfers between airports and hotels while in Ireland.

 g.         The service of one of Trafalgar’s expert Travel Directors.

Total value of the prize is $5,600.  Trip must be taken from October 31-November 7, 2015.  All other expenses not mentioned herein, including without limitation, food/beverages not included in Paragraph 4.d above, transportation to and from the airport in Minneapolis, Minnesota, hotel amenities, fees and gratuities, souvenirs, etc., are the responsibility of the winner and traveling companion.  If the winner and/or his/her guest misses the flights as scheduled, the winner will forfeit the prize. If the winner and/or his/her guest is not present for the designated return flight, he/she is solely responsible for his/her return to Minneapolis, Minnesota.  United States government taxes/security/airport fees are the responsibility of the winner.  Valid passports are required and all fees for securing passports are the responsibility of the winner and/or his guest.    Excess baggage fees and additional products or services will be charged the current applicable fees. The winner is responsible for providing all necessary travel documentation, including passports.  IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING NEW PASSPORT REQUIREMENTS FOR INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL:  As of January 23, 2007 all international travelers must present a government issued passport for U.S. Customs re-entry after air, land or sea travel. For more information please visit the State Department’s consular website www.travel.state.gov or the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s website www.dhs.gov.  It is the traveler’s responsibility to provide proper documentation. Married or divorced women traveling under names other than what is printed on their travel documents, must supply a marriage license and/or divorce decree.  The trip is subject to the policies, practices and procedures of Trafalgar Torus, AAA Minneapolis, and all hotels and airlines.

             Twin Cities Live reserves complete discretion over the scheduling, appearance, airing and content of each finalist’s appearance(s).  No regular or ongoing guest appearance is guaranteed or assured.  The prize is not transferable or exchangeable.  A qualified winner must also meet the eligibility requirements as set forth in Paragraph 5 of these rules.  All income taxes and other taxes are the responsibility of the winner.  A 1099 form will be submitted to all appropriate taxing authorities.  The prize must be accepted in its entirety, and cannot be divided or accepted in part.

 Odds of winning are dependent on the number of eligible entries received.

5.         ELIGIBILITY:  Individuals must be 21 years or older to be eligible to participate in this contest.  Employees of Hubbard Broadcasting, Inc., KSTP-TV, LLC, Trafalgar, FINNEGANS and AAA Minneapolis, including their subsidiaries, affiliates, parent or related companies, and their immediate families, are not eligible to enter.

            By entering this contest, each entrant is certifying that the submitted video is his or her own original work, and that he or she has the right to allow the airing of the video without restriction, and that KSTP-TV's use of the video will not infringe the rights of any third parties (e.g., copyrights, rights of publicity, etc.).

6.         CONTEST DEADLINE.  All entries must be received by Twin Cities Live no later than 11:59:59 p.m. (CST) on Sunday, April 5, 2015.

8.         RELEASE; CONSENT TO USE LIKENESS, VOICE AND ADDRESS:  The winner must execute an affidavit of eligibility.  Each person entering this contest (a) agrees to release and indemnify Hubbard Broadcasting, Inc., KSTP-TV, LLC, Trafalgar, FINNEGANS and AAA Minneapolis (including their subsidiaries, affiliates, parent or related companies) from and against any and all liability, claims, damages and actions arising directly or indirectly out of or sustained in connection with the awarding, acceptance or use of the prize(s), and (b) consents to the use by KSTP-TV for promotional purposes only of his likeness and/or voice, address (city and state) and his or her contest entry (which may be posted on the KSTP-TV website and/or shown on air and his/her appearance on Twin Cities Live if he/she is chosen as a finalist) without any additional compensation.  By accepting the prize, the winner agrees to be bound by these official rules, including the above release.  By accompanying the winner, the winner’s guest agrees to be bound by the terms of these official rules, including the preceding release.

9.         WINNER LIST:  For the name of the winner, send a separate self-addressed, stamped envelope before May 31, 2015, to Winners List, Twin Cities Live, Luckiest cook Contest, 3415 University Avenue, St. Paul, Minnesota  55114.

10.       MISCELLANEOUS: 

            Decisions of KSTP-TV concerning any and all matters with respect to this sweepstakes shall be final.  Sweepstakes is void where prohibited or otherwise restricted by law.  KSTP-TV reserves the right to change the prize values at any time.  KSTP-TV is not responsible for printing errors in the sweepstakes materials or these rules.  KSTP-TV is not responsible for problems accessing the website, or technical or atmospheric conditions that disrupt the completion of the entry, or any other problems which might or might not result from this sweepstakes.  KSTP-TV,  in its sole discretion, may disqualify any entrant from participation in or use of any or all portions of this sweepstakes, and refuse to award the Prize, if participant engages in any conduct KSTP-TV deems to be improper, unfair or otherwise adverse to the operation of the sweepstakes or detrimental to other entrants of the sweepstakes.  Such improper conduct includes, without limitation, falsifying personal information required during registration or prize claim, violating any term or condition stated herein, accumulating entries through methods such as automated computer scripts or any other programming techniques, allowing others to use entrant's personal information for the purpose of accumulating entries, or intentionally trying to defraud, reverse engineer, disassemble or otherwise tamper with the computer programs in connection with this sweepstakes.  Participants agree that KSTP-TV may void any part of the Prize that participant may have won and/or require the return of any part of the Prize that participant may have won as a result of such improper conduct.  Participant further acknowledges that any forfeiture of the Prize and/or return of the Prize shall in no way prevent KSTP-TV from pursuing other avenues of recourse such as criminal or civil proceedings in connection with such conduct. WARNING: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS SWEEPSTAKES MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, EACH OF THE SWEEPSTAKES ENTITIES RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES OR OTHER REMEDIES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON(S) RESPONSIBLE FOR SUCH ATTEMPT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.  If, for any reason, the Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned by reason of infection by computer virus, worms, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, cancellation of show, scheduling changes or any other causes which KSTP-TV, in its sole opinion believes could corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this sweepstakes, KSTP-TV reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend this sweepstakes and select the Prize winner from entries received prior to the action taken or in such other manner as KSTP-TV may deem fair and appropriate.
