TWIN CITIES LIVE - SCHULER SHOES WALKS OF LIFE CONTEST

OFFICIAL RULES

1.         HOW TO ENTER:  NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.  In order to enter, from 3:00 p.m. on Friday, January 24, 2014, through 11:59:59 p.m. on Friday, December 26, 2014,  go to www.twincitieslive.com, go to the contest section of the website, click on the “Schuler Shoes Walks of Life” icon and complete the entry form, which includes nominating someone (in 250 words or less) who is on his/her feet all day at work or volunteering, or who goes above and beyond to be the best at his/her job; entries must also include your name, address, daytime telephone number and email address, along with the name, address, daytime telephone number and email address of the person you are nominating.  You may not nominate yourself.  KSTP-TV is not responsible for problems accessing the websites, technical or atmospheric conditions that disrupt the completion of the entry, or any other problems which might or might not result from this contest.  Viewers may enter this contest more than once, but can only nominate a specific person once.  There will be a total of eleven (11) winners in this contest.  Limit:  One winner per household.

2.         HOW THE WINNERS ARE CHOSEN/JUDGING CRITERIA:  From all eligible entries submitted pursuant to Paragraph 1 above, a panel of judges comprised of Twin Cities Live staff members, in their sole and absolute discretion, will determine the winners based on, but not limited to, (i) how the nominated person goes above and beyond at his/her job/volunteering (51%), and (ii) how the person nominated makes a difference to the people around him/her.  There will be eleven (11) winners; the winners will be chosen on the following dates:  February 24, 2014; March 31, 2014; April 28, 2014; May 27, 2014; June 30, 2014; July 28, 2014; August 25, 2014; September 29, 2014; October 27, 2014; November 24, 2014; and December 29, 2014. The entries received up until the date each winner is selected will be judged and the entry with the highest overall score using the preceding judging criteria from among all eligible entries received up to the drawing date will be deemed the winner on that date. All non-winning entries will be rolled over into subsequent judging entry pools. The winners and the person who nominated them must be willing to make themselves available for a pre-taped, on-camera interview with Twin Cities Live staff.  Sponsor reserves the right to not award all prizes for any prize level if, in its sole discretion, it does not receive a sufficient number of eligible and/or qualified submissions for a prize level in a particular entry period, entry pool, or otherwise.  Sponsor reserves the right to select fewer than eleven (11) winners in the event there are not enough qualified entries received during the contest period.

3.         CLAIMING YOUR PRIZE:  Each winner will be asked to stop by the KSTP-TV Studios, 3415 University Avenue, St. Paul, Minnesota, during normal business hours (Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) within ten (10) days of the day he/she wins to make arrangements for the filming of his/her interview.  When claiming a prize at the KSTP-TV Studios, the winner must prove he is a qualified winner by presenting identification acceptable to the sponsors (e.g., state drivers license; state issued identification card; valid passport with address verification; or birth certificate with social security card and photo identification and address verification).  If the winner cannot prove they are the qualified winner, another winner will be chosen by the panel of judges.

4.         PRIZE:  There will be eleven (11) winners in this contest; the person receiving the prize will be the person who is being nominated.  Each nominated person will receive a $150 gift card to Schuler Shoes; the gift card does not have an expiration date.  The gift card is subject to the policies, practices and procedures regarding Schuler Shoes gift cards.   Each nominated person will be surprised (not live) and each segment will air on Twin Cities Live. 

            The prize is not transferable or exchangeable, nor can it be exchanged for cash or credit.  A qualified winner must also meet the eligibility requirements as set forth in Paragraph 5 of these rules.  All income taxes and other taxes are the responsibility of the winner.  A 1099 form may be submitted to all appropriate taxing authorities. 

5.         ELIGIBILITY:  Individuals must be 18 years or older to be eligible to participate in this contest and residents of Wisconsin or Minnesota.  Employees of Hubbard Broadcasting, Inc., KSTP-TV, LLC and Schuler Shoes, and their affiliates, parent or related companies, and their immediate families, are not eligible to enter.  In order to be eligible to win a prize in this contest, you cannot have won and accepted any prize from Twin Cities Live within 30 days prior to the awarding of a prize to you in this contest, or won and accepted any prize or combination of prizes with a total stated value of $1,000.00 or more from Twin Cities Live within 365 days prior to the awarding of a prize to you in this contest.

6.         CONTEST DEADLINE.  All entries must be received by Twin Cities Live no later than 11:59:59 p.m. on Friday, December 26, 2014. 

7.         RELEASE; CONSENT TO USE LIKENESS, VOICE AND ADDRESS:  Each winner must execute an affidavit of eligibility.  Each person entering this contest (a) agrees to release and indemnify Hubbard Broadcasting, Inc., KSTP-TV, LLC and Schuler Shoes (including their subsidiaries, affiliates, parent or related companies) from and against any and all liability, claims, damages and actions arising directly or indirectly out of or sustained in connection with the awarding, acceptance or use of the prize, and (b) consents to the use by KSTP-TV for promotional purposes only of his/her likeness and/or voice, address (city and state) and his or her contest entry (which may be posted on the KSTP-TV website and/or read on the air) and  the filming of the surprise awarding of the prize without any additional compensation.   By accepting the prize, each winner agrees to be bound by these official rules, including the above release. 

8.         WINNER LIST:  For the names of the winners, send a separate self-addressed, stamped envelope before January 31, 2015, to Winners List, KSTP-TV, Twin Cities Live-Schuler Shoes Walks of Life, 3415 University Avenue, St. Paul, Minnesota  55114.

9.         MISCELLANEOUS: 

            Decisions of KSTP-TV concerning any and all matters with respect to this contest shall be final.  KSTP-TV reserves the right to change these rules, as well as the terms and conditions of this contest, without notice.  KSTP-TV reserves the right to change the prize values at any time, or to substitute prizes of comparable value.  Contest void where prohibited or otherwise restricted by law.  Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable.  KSTP-TV is not responsible for printing errors in the contest materials or these official rules.
