45TV – ULTIMATE HOLIDAY GIVEAWAY SWEEPSTAKES

OFFICIAL RULES 

1.         HOW TO ENTER:  NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. 

This is a “watch and win” sweepstakes.  Watch 45TV Local News from Monday, December 2, 2013, through Friday, December 20, 2013, at 9:00 p.m. on KSTC-TV.  Each day during 9:00 p.m. newscasts weather segment, a weather word of the day will be announced and then viewers will need to go to www.kstc45.com, click on the “Ultimate Holiday Giveaway” icon and register to win by completing the entry form, which includes your name, address, telephone number, email address and word of the day. 

Viewers will have until 11:00 p.m. on the day each word of the day is revealed to go to the website and complete the entry.  From all daily entries received that include the correct word of the day in each entry, one entry will be randomly chosen to be that day's qualifier. Each daily qualifier's name will be announced during the following days 45TV Local News newscast weather segment.  KSTC-TV is not responsible for problems completing the entry, technical or atmospheric conditions that disrupt the completion of the entry, or any other problems which might or might not result from this sweepstakes.

Limit, one entry per person per daily word of the day; any person submitting more than one entry per daily word of the day per prize may be disqualified. Each daily qualifier will receive one entry into the Grand Prize drawing.

2.         HOW THE WINNER IS CHOSEN:  On Friday, December 20, 2013, 45TV will randomly draw one name from among each daily qualifier to be the potential grand prize winner.  The grand prize winner will be notified by telephone on December 23, 2013 and Ken Barlow will conduct a live remote weather segment from the grand prize winner’s home during the December 23, 2013 45TV Local News at 9:00 p.m. newscast. If winner is not able to be reached within one (1) hour of notification, an alternate winner will be selected from among all remaining daily qualifiers to be the grand prize winner. This process will continue until a grand prize winner can be verified. PLEASE NOTE: As a condition of being named the grand prize winner, the grand prize winner must be home during the live remote weather segment. Odds of winning the grand prize are 1:18. 

3.         PRIZE:  There will be one (1) grand prize awarded in connection with this sweepstakes. The prize is a 2-Year Lease on a 2014 Chevrolet Equinox. PLEASE NOTE: Potential Grand Prize winner MUST first go through a credit approval process, be approved for credit by Belzer Chevrolet in Lakeville, and enter into the 2-year lease agreement with Belzer Chevrolet as a condition of being named the Grand Prize winner and receiving the Grand Prize. In the event potential grand prize winner does not meet the necessary qualifications to enter into the lease agreement, prize will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner.  The 2-year lease is based on 10,000 miles per year allowance, 0 due at signing, customer is solely responsible for mileage overages, damage, and insurance during the term of the lease. Grand prize winner must take delivery at Belzer Chevrolet in Lakeville on or before December 31, 2013 or prize will be forfeited and not be awarded. Color of Equinox is silver metallic with jet black cloth interior. 2.4 L 4 cyls; automatic 6 speed; AWD 4-door SUV, 20 MPG city and 29 MPG highway. VIN: 2GNFLEEK1E6150844.  Winner must be a licensed driver and must present a current valid U.S. driver's license and proof of insurance prior to taking possession of the vehicle. Failure to show same may result in Grand Prize forfeiture. Grand Prize winner is responsible for all associated dealership fees including all title, license, insurance, registration, dealer preparation, applicable taxes or fees, destination and handling charges, and other fees associated with the lease, including any travel and transportation costs associated with collecting the vehicle from Belzer Chevrolet in Lakeville.  All other costs not specifically stated herein as being awarded are the responsibility of Grand Prize winner.

The prize is not transferable or exchangeable, nor can they be exchanged for cash or credit. Any warranties and guarantees relating to this prize is strictly limited to the manufacturer’s. A qualified winner must also meet the eligibility requirements as set forth in Paragraph 5 of these rules.  The winner is responsible for paying all applicable income taxes.  A 1099 form will be submitted to all appropriate taxing authorities, and by signing the Prize Release, the winner accepts the prize, and even if the winner does not use the prize/trip, he/she will be responsible for the applicable taxes.  

4.            CLAIMING YOUR PRIZE:  The potential grand prize winner must go to Belzer Chevrolet in Lakeville to complete all required credit applications as set forth in Paragraph 3 above; including showing proof of insurance and a valid drivers license by December 31, 2013.  Failure to comply with this deadline shall be deemed to be the winner’s forfeiture of his or her right to claim the prize.  Winner will also be required to sign and complete the Prize Release with Sponsor prior to receiving the prize. 

5.            ELIGIBILITY:  Individuals must be 21 years or older to be eligible to win.  Employees of KSTC.TV, LLC, Hubbard Broadcasting, Inc., and Belzer Chevrolet in Lakeville, including their subsidiaries, affiliates, parent or related companies, and their immediate families, are not eligible to enter.  Any one participating in this sweepstakes or claiming a prize in this sweepstakes in violation of these rules will be disqualified from participating in Channel Forty5 sweepstakess for a period of one year. 

6.            RELEASE; CONSENT TO USE LIKENESS, VOICE AND ADDRESS:  The winner may be required to execute an affidavit of eligibility.  The winner (a) agrees to release and indemnify KSTC.TV, LLC, Hubbard Broadcasting, Inc., and Belzer Chevrolet in Lakeville (including their officers, directors, employees and subsidiaries, affiliates, parent or related companies) from and against any and all liability, claims, damages and actions arising directly or indirectly out of or sustained in connection with the awarding, acceptance or use of the prize(s), (b) agrees that no sponsors or agents have made any representation, warranty or guaranty relative to the prize, and (c) consents to the use by the sponsors of this sweepstakes for promotional purposes only of her likeness and/or voice, and address (city and state) without any additional compensation.  By participating in this sweepstakes, each participant agrees to the application of these official rules.  By accompanying the winner, a winner’s guest agrees to be bound by the terms of these official rules, including the preceding release.

7.            WINNER LIST:  For the name of the winner, send a separate self-addressed, stamped envelope before January 3, 2014, to Winners List, Ultimate Holiday Giveaway, 45TV, 3415 University Avenue, St. Paul, Minnesota 55114. 

8.            MISCELLANEOUS:   

            Decisions of the sponsors concerning any and all matters with respect to this sweepstakes shall be final.  The sponsors reserve the right to change these rules, as well as the terms and conditions of this sweepstakes, without notice.  If the sponsors determine in their sole discretion that the integrity or fairness of this sweepstakes has been corrupted in any manner, the sponsors reserve the right to terminate the sweepstakes and to select a winner from among entries legitimately received prior to termination.  The sponsors reserve the right to change the prize values at any time, or to substitute prizes of comparable value.  Sweepstakes void where prohibited or otherwise restricted by law.  The sponsors are not responsible for printing errors in the sweepstakes materials or these rules.
