1.HOW TO ENTER: NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. In order to enter, from Tuesday, January 31, 2012, through 11:59:59 p.m. on Tuesday, February 28, 2012, go to the www.twincitieslive.com website, click on the "I Love TWIN CITIES LIVE – Spin & Win" icon and complete the entry form and upload a picture of yourself. KSTP-TV is not responsible for problems accessing the website or completing the entry, technical or atmospheric conditions that disrupt the completion of the entry, or any other problems which might or might not result from this contest. Any person submitting more than one entry and/or an entry not containing a photograph may be disqualified.
2.HOW TO PLAY/HOW THE WINNERS ARE CHOSEN: Enter as explained in Paragraph 1 above. Beginning weekdays (Monday-Friday) from Wednesday, February 1, 2012, through Wednesday, February 29, 2012, TWIN CITIES LIVE will play the “I Love TWIN CITIES LIVE – Spin & Win Trivia” game live on TWIN CITIES LIVE.
a.How Contestants Are Chosen: Each weekday (February 1-29, 2012) at 9:00 a.m. a TWIN CITIES LIVE staff member will randomly draw from all eligible entries received one (1) name and will call that person to see if he/she is available to play “I Love TWIN CITIES LIVE – Spin & Win Trivia” live on Twin Cities Live that day at around 3:00 p.m. If the person who is called does not answer his/her phone, he/she will have until 10:00 a.m. that same day to call back to confirm that he/she is available to play that day’s “I Love TWIN CITIES LIVE – Spin & Win Trivia.” If the first person whose name is drawn does not answer the phone and/or call back by the 10:00 a.m., deadline each day, that person will no longer be eligible to play and another name will be randomly drawn from all eligible entries received, and if the next person who is called does not answer his/her phone, that person will have until 11:00 a.m. that same day to call back to confirm that he/she is available to play that day’s “I Love TWIN CITIES LIVE – Spin & Win Trivia.” This will go on until a contestant is confirmed. If TWIN CITIES LIVE does not have a confirmed contestant by 2:00 p.m., the trivia game will not be played that day.
b.Playing “I Love TWIN CITIES LIVE – Spin & Win Trivia”: Once a contestant has been confirmed pursuant to Paragraph 2 (a) above, a TWIN CITIES LIVE staff member will call the contestant at 2:55 p.m. on the specific day and the contestant will be transferred to be “live” on TWIN CITIES LIVE. The TWIN CITIES LIVE hosts will chat with the contestant, show his/her picture provided by the contestant when they entered to contest, and then spin the wheel to see what prize specified in Paragraph 4 below they are playing for. The contestant will then be asked a trivia question pertaining to the previous day’s TWIN CITIES LIVE program. If the contestant answers the question correctly, he/she wins the designated prize from the prize wheel. If the contestant answers the question incorrectly, he/she wins a TWIN CITIES LIVE t-shirt.
3.CLAIMING YOUR PRIZE: Certain prizes, at TWIN CITIES LIVE’s discretion, will be mailed to the winner’s home address (t-shirts, tickets, etc.). KSTP-TV is not responsible for problems resulting from the mailing of the prize to the winners’ home address. A winner must claim other prizes (cash, trip, etc.), at TWIN CITIES LIVE’s sole discretion, in person at the KSTP-TV Studios, 3415 University Avenue, St. Paul, Minnesota 55114, during normal business hours (Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) within ten (10) business days of the day he/she wins the prize. Failure to comply with this deadline shall be deemed to be the winner’s forfeiture of his or her right to claim a prize. A winner must present identification acceptable to KSTP-TV (e.g., state drivers license; state issued identification card; valid passport with address verification; or birth certificate with social security card and photo identification and address verification). If a winner cannot prove he or she is qualified to accept the prize, the prize will not be awarded. Any unclaimed prizes remain the property of Twin Cities Live.
4.PRIZES: Each winner will receive the prize landed on when the hosts of TWIN CITIES LIVE spin the wheel for the contestant if the contestant answers the trivia questions correctly. If the contestant does not answer the question correctly, he/she will win a TCL t-shirt (value: $5). The wheel at all times will contain eight (8) prizes, consisting of the following:
a.A trip for two (2) to Cancun, Mexico, which will include round-trip charter airfare for two (2) from Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Cancun, Mexico, four (4) nights hotel accommodations (one room, double occupancy). Value: $2,100. The trip must be booked by December 31, 2012, and travel must be completed by February 28, 2013, or will be forfeited; black-out dates and other restrictions may apply. All other expenses (including, without limitation, ground transportation, personal expenses (optional excursions, spa treatments, souvenirs), telephone charges, meals and beverages, and all federal, state and local taxes (including applicable income taxes)) and fees incurred are the winner’s/guest’s sole responsibility. The winner will be responsible for applicable taxes and fees. All travel is based on availability. The winner and his/her guest will need to have a valid passport for travel and travel on same itinerary. If passport is not in hand by time of travel, there will be no refunds nor extensions. The winner and his/her guest is responsible for any charges incurred for name changes or trip cancellations. The trip is nontransferable and not redeemable for cash. All passengers must be at least 21 years old or traveling with a legal guardian. If a winner and/or his/her guest misses the initial flight as scheduled to Mexico, the winner will forfeit the prize. If the winner and/or his/her guest is not present for the designated return flight, he/she is solely responsible for his/her return to Minnesota. The trip is subject to all applicable hotel and airline policies, practices and procedures. Two of these prizes may be awarded.
b.$250 cash. Two of these prizes may be awarded.
c.$500 cash. Two of these prizes may be awarded.
d.Four (4) tickets to the Minnesota Twins opener game on Monday, April 9, 2012; value: $250. This prize is subject to the policies, practices and procedures of the Minnesota Twins. One of these prizes may be awarded.
e.Four (4) tickets to the Minnesota Wild game against the Flames on March 22, 2012, plus a personalized Wild jersey; value $500. This prize is subject to the policies, practices and procedures of the Minnesota Wild. One of these prizes may be awarded.
f.Four (4) tickets to the Minnesota Wild game against the Panthers on March 29, 2012, plus a personalized Wild jersey; value $500. This prize is subject to the policies, practices and procedures of the Minnesota Wild. One of these prizes may be awarded.
g.KS95 Music Library – 12 CD’s from artists played on KS95; value: $200. One of these prizes may be awarded.
h.A new look from New Reflections Salon: customized Aveda color and haircut (all-over color or highlights, color melting, or both), Shellac “Perfect Manicure” (a two week, chip proof color) and make-up application. Value: $300. This prize is subject to the policies, practices and procedures of the New Reflections Salon. Two (2) of these prizes may be awarded.
i.A “sit-in” with Ian and Marjorie from myTalk 107.1; value: $300. One of these prizes may be awarded.
TWIN CITIES LIVE reserves the right to change the prizes during the term of the contest with the exception of the two (2) trips to Mexico, which will be guaranteed to be included on the wheel until won or expiration of the contest.
A qualified winner must also meet the eligibility requirements as set forth in Paragraph 5 of these rules. The winner is responsible for paying all applicable income taxes. A 1099 form may be submitted to all appropriate taxing authorities, and by signing the Prize Release, each winner accepts the prize, and even if the winner does not use the prize/trip, he/she will be responsible for the applicable taxes.
5.ELIGIBILITY: Individuals must be 18 years or older and residents of Minnesota or Wisconsin in order to be eligible to participate in this contest. Employees of Hubbard Broadcasting, Inc. and KSTP-TV, LLC, including their subsidiaries, affiliates, parent or related companies, and their immediate families, are not eligible to enter. In order to be eligible to win a prize in this contest, you cannot have won and accepted any prize from Twin Cities Live within 30 days prior to the awarding of a prize to you in this contest, or won and accepted any prize or combination of prizes with a total stated value of $1,000.00 or more from Twin Cities Live within 365 days prior to the awarding of a prize to you in this contest.
By entering this contest, each entrant is certifying that the submitted photograph is his or her own original work, and that he or she has the right to allow the publication of the photograph without restriction, and that KSTP-TV's use of the photograph will not infringe the rights of any third parties (e.g., copyrights, rights of publicity, etc.).
6.CONTEST DEADLINE. All entries must be received by Twin Cities Live no later than 11:59:59 p.m. on Tuesday, February 28, 2012.
7.RELEASE; CONSENT TO USE LIKENESS, VOICE AND ADDRESS: The winner must execute an affidavit of eligibility. Each person entering this contest (a) agrees to release and indemnify Hubbard Broadcasting, Inc. and KSTP-TV, LLC (including their subsidiaries, affiliates, parent or related companies) from and against any and all liability, claims, damages and actions arising directly or indirectly out of or sustained in connection with the awarding, acceptance or use of the prize(s), and (b) consents to the use by KSTP-TV for promotional purposes only of his likeness and/or voice, address (city and state) and his or her contest entry (which may be posted on the KSTP-TV website and/or shown on the air) without any additional compensation. By accepting the prize, the winner agrees to be bound by these official rules, including the above release.
8.WINNER LIST: For the names of the winners, send a separate self-addressed, stamped envelope before March 31, 2012, to Winners List, Twin Cities Live, I Love Twin Cities Live – Spin & Win Trivia, 3415 University Avenue, St. Paul, Minnesota 55114.
9.MISCELLANEOUS:
Decisions of KSTP-TV concerning any and all matters with respect to this contest shall be final. KSTP-TV reserves the right to change these rules, as well as the terms and conditions of this contest, without notice. KSTP-TV reserves the right to change the prize values at any time, or to substitute prizes of comparable value. Contest void where prohibited or otherwise restricted by law. Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable. KSTP-TV is not responsible for printing errors in the contest materials or these official rules.
